Hit or Miss: Sol de Janeiro’s Brazilian Bum Bum Cream

Hey, darlings! I’m baaaaaaaaaaaack! I know it has been such a long hiatus, but it’s been one hell of a spring & summer. So many changes have been happening so blogging had to take a backseat for a while. However, I have a lot of new content ideas so expect to see me regularly posting.

Now, let’s get back to Hit or Miss! I’ve been using Sol de Janeiro’s Bum Bum Cream for about 4 months now and I absolutely loveeeeee it. It’s basically a cream that tightens and smooths your skin, OVER TIME. So don’t expect immediate results. However, the smell and the glow it gives your skin is AMAZING! I feel more attractive and luscious when I put this on my body. Some the ingredients include: coconut oil, acai, guarana, and cupuacu butter. Also, the consistency is bit thick so a little goes a long way.

All of my friends who I’ve recommended this cream to love it! I suggest you guys buy its ASAP. You can get it the 8 oz jar at Sephora for $45. If you wanna try it before you fully commit, the travel size is $20.

NEW: Too Faced Melted Chocolate Liquid Lipsticks

Hey, dolls! This post is just gonna be me introducing 2 shades of the Too Faced Melted Chocolate Collection. I first saw these in a holiday video by Amanda Ensing and I knew I had to pick up some of them. Now, these aren’t brand spanking new but they recently started being available in-stores. Before, you can only get them online.

The two shades I ending up buying were Chocolate Honey and Chocolate Cherries. Chocolate Honey is a bit pinker in the photo, but when I apply it on my lips it’s a pretty nude color. Chocolate Cherries looks just like it’s pictured – a luxurious, deep burgundy. The other colors are Chocolate Milkshake, Metallic Chocolate Diamonds, Metallic Candy Bar, and Metallic Frozen Hot Chocolate.

Not only do these lipsticks last, they smell like chocolate! Also, a little goes a long way. I’m not a fan of glossy lipsticks, but Too Faced Melted will always be my exception! I definitely think there is a shade for everyone, even if there are only 6 colors. You can pick them up at Sephora for $21.

Hit or Miss: DevaCurl’s SuperCream Coconut Curl Styler

Hey, loves! I know it’s been a hot minute since I’ve done a review, but here I am. The reason I’ve been slacking on reviews is basically because I haven’t been trying tons of new products lately. However, expect that to change! Since you all know that I’ve decided to let my natural hair flourish, let’s talk about a hair product that I’ve been loving!

I’ve been looking into DevaCurl since the moment I decided to embrace my curls 100%. The price range is a bit up there, but I’ve heard nothing but great things so I said let me just try a few products. SuperCream is basically a styler that defines your curls, tames frizz, softens, boosts volume, controls, etc. It basically does everything!

I absolutely love this product! I use it basically every day. This helps me slay my baby hairs, tame frizz, and add definition to the parts of my hair that lack oompf! Anybody who has curly definitely needs this baby! If you’re going to try anything from DevaCurl, let it be this. You can get it at Sephora for $28. It may seem like a lot for a styling product, but a little goes a long way. I use half a pump when I’m taming frizz and 3 pumps for my whole head.

My All-Time Favorite Face Masks

image1 (5)

Hey, babes! Let’s talk skincare. I think doing a mask at least 2-3x a week is important for your skin. Masks are able to do everything that cleansers and exfoliators can’t. I’ve been wanting to do this post for a while, but I wanted to make sure that I finalized my list of favorites. So, here we go…

From least to most expensive

  • Queen Helene Mint Julep Masque ($4) is the best and most effective drugstore mask that I’ve ever used. It helps clear your skin and minimize pores. I definitely recommend it to anyone on a budget! Try mixing  it with tea tree oil = amazing.
  • Boscia’s Black Luminizing Mask ($34) is a peel-off mask that helps brighten your complexion. It doesn’t do much for acne but it helps with dullness and pores.
  • Peter Thomas Roth Therapeutic Sulfur Masque ($40) is my all time favorite for spot treatment and full-face usage. This baby is magic and made me fall in love with PTR products because he grew up with cystic acne. So, he clearly knows what he’s doing when it comes to making an acne effective product. This baby will flatten your pimples overnight. LITERALLY.
  • GlamGlow Supermud ($69) is a pretty penny but definitely effective. You feel it working and SEE the pores being vacuumed of gunk. It’s kind of fascinating yet gross to see the bacteria that’s in your face. This works just like the PTR Sulfur Masque.

Yearly Favorites of 2015

Happy New Year! I know I have been going in and out of blogging, but the holidays and work had me on a new type of busy. However, this year I promise to be more consistent :). This is the first time I’m doing a yearly favorites post and I’m sure they’ll be more to come. I tried to add a product from every part of beauty and this is what I came out with. I honestly had to be realistic and think about things that I used constantly. Let’s just jump in, shall we?

  • Murad’s Skin Smoothing Polish is holy grail when it comes to exfoliating. The texture is so finely milled and gives you the squeaky clean feeling you’re dying for when you’ve been wearing makeup all day, every day.
  • Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation is top 3 in my high-end foundation collection. This baby lasts! It makes your skin look flawless. I’ve actual people compliment me on my complexion when I wear this. The finish is flawless. It doesn’t look cakey at all and just makes me feel simply godly. They also have a wide shade range.
  • KVD Lock-It Foundation is my second favorite when it comes to high-end foundation. The formula is on the thicker side, but the coverage is insane. I put this on and sometimes skip concealer and a little goes a long way.
  • Maybelline’s Fit Me Matte + Poreless is the best drugstore foundation I’ve come across since Revlon Colorstay. I haven’t found any drugstore foundation that I’ve loved just as much as Revlon’s Colorstay and this baby comes quite close. The coverage is medium and buildable. It feels great on my skin and I basically used every week since I bought it. I have probably 2 more uses out of it until I buy a new one.
  • LA Girl Pro Conceal is the best concealer out there for frugalistas. The coverage is amazing and so is the texture. The shade range is great as well.
  • NYX’s Dark Circle Concealer is amazing for color correcting. I use this on dark spots and dark circles and it makes a super huge difference.

  • Maybelline’s Lash Sensational Mascara is one of my holy grail mascaras from the drugstore. At first, I didn’t enjoy it but I found out how to work with it. Since then, I use it almost every day.
  • Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara is my favorite high-end mascara. The amount of volume this baby gives you is insane. I use it basically every day.
  • Billion Dollar Brows Brow Powder is the best powder I’ve used for brows. I just started using it a month ago but I had to include it. It definitely was a favorite.

  • Rosebud Salve has been around forever and for good reason. This is the only thing that moisturizes my lips instantly and keeps them moisturized for a long while.
  • Maybelline Touch of Spice is my favorite pinkish lip shade and I would use it every week for like half the year. It’s super soft yet matte.
  • Coloured Raine Cherry Blossom will always be my favorite red shade. This has been my go-to red shade since I bought it.
  • KVD Lolita was another one of my go-to’s this year. I mean I don’t think this shade needs much explanation. Everyone and their mother loved this shade in 2015.

  • Marc Jacobs Daisy was my go-to fragrance this year. That’s saying a lot since I own 10 different fragrances. It’s just delicious.

Kat Von D’s Lolita & Lolita II

Hey, dolls! So I just wanted to do a quick little swatch post of KVD’s Lolita and Lolita II. Supposedly, I have KVD’s “bad batch” or “second version” of Lolita. However, that can be debatable. The one I have

Supposedly, I have KVD’s “bad batch” or “second version” of Lolita. However, that can be debatable. The one I have is a deep mauve pink. I’ve been dying to get Lolita II because I love the terracotta color it has. Lately, I’ve been a fan of lip colors with an orange tint to it. I just got to have ’em all!!!

DSCI0060As you can see, Lolita and Lolita II are completely different! I can’t imagine how either of these colors will look the same on any skin tone. I love both of them. However, I don’t think I’ll ever love any color more than the original. I suggest if you like it, pick it up! KVD liquid lipsticks tend to go fast!

My Christmas Wishlist

Hey, darlings! So, it’s obvious that Christmas is right around the corner. As an only child who is heavily spoiled, it’s obviously my favorite holiday hahaha. Just kidding… not really ;). Anyway, I’m sure whether you’re 13 or 23, you still have a Christmas wishlist. So, I just wanted to share some of the things from my wishlist with you guys and maybe you guys will see something that you actually want to add to yours!

Screen Shot 2015-11-30 at 8.51.51 PMAs a glam enthusiast, I NEED to have the Impressions Hollywood Vanity mirror! When I say need, I MEAN NEED! First off, my body length mirror is falling apart. Second, the lighting in my room sucks for doing makeup. I simply just need this baby in my life. It gives me that Old Hollywood glam vibe. I imagine women like Marilyn Monroe used mirrors like these. Every beauty enthusiast needs this mirror! I won’t front on you, though. This mirror is a pretty penny. It’s almost $300, but I think it’s worth the investment. It also comes with the bulbs which is super convenient.

I love me some boots, especially lace up boots. My old combat boots finally broke down on me after surviving 2 brutal winters. So, it’s time to get some new ones on this feet. Combat boots are my favorite type of boots You can definitely dress them up or down. To be honest, I don’t think this winter is gonna be even close to as brutal as last year. Either way, I gotta be prepared. These boots for Delia’s are stylish and look great for the winter. Delia’s has tons of boot options! So if you’re on the hunt for a new pair, definitely check them out.

Now I know I said that this winter probably won’t be as brutal as last, but it’s still gonna be winter. It’ll still rain. It’ll still snow. It’ll still be windy and/or cold. So, you need to be prepared! I’ve been obsessing over parkas. I just think they are so fly! Plus, they are warm and cozy AF. The one is this photo is from Garage. They have different types of parkas but they’re all waterproof, which is amazing! I personally like the one pictured because of the color. Any dark shade of red is my favorite color during the fall and winter months. If the ones at Garage aren’t your style, you can find a variety of different places that sell winter parkas on

I love tops that are oversized, especially button downs and plaids! My mom literally asked me the other day, “Why are all the clothes on your Christmas list big?” lmao. She don’t know how I roll, haha. I’m a 90’s baby and I’m a fan of the grunge fashion revival going on these days. Anyway, anything oversized needs to be on my Christmas list.

Some other things that I have on my list are gift cards from Sephora, MAC, Bath and Body Works, and LUSH. I also have some perfumes on my list. ♥
