Lately, I’ve been under some stress so I decided to turn to adult coloring. Why? Because I’ve heard so many great things about it. I’ve read articles that adult coloring has even been used in people with illnesses, such as cancer and epilepsy. Doctors say that it provides relaxation and it’s soothing because the outcome is predictable. I honestly couldn’t agree more.
What makes adult coloring “adult” is the fact that the coloring books don’t contain cartoons or other child-like things. The books contain intricate patterns, such as the one you see pictured. It requires some real focus to get in the zone when you’re coloring. Usually, I turn to reading or music when I’m stressed out. However, music can sometimes just make me think more about my problems. Reading helps a little better but sometimes I drift off and go back to focusing on my stress. That doesn’t happen to me at all with coloring. I’m so focused on what I’m doing that my mind doesn’t drift off at all. That is exactly what I need in times of stress.
You can find adult coloring books in Barnes & Nobles and Amazon. The price range is around $10-20. I’m currently using twistable crayons, but colored pencils are definitely better for patterns that are more detailed.
Hey all! Lately, I’ve become a real skin care snob. All I want to do is buy new skincare products because I’m not getting any younger, haha. I’m all about prevention and you only have one skin, so you better do all you can to take care of it.
I came across this product because of Desi Perkins. She’s been recommending it on all of her skincare videos and I finally decided to try it out. I’m actually a fan of a few Murad products and I assumed that I would enjoy this product, as well. According to Murad.com, this product is “a rich-creamy polishing scrub that removes embedded impurities, without stripping skin of natural moisture, revealing a more vibrant complexion.” They recommend that it be used 2-3x weekly. Needless to say, I use it as an exfoliator. The active ingredients include: witch hazel, cinnamon extract, and pomegranate seed oil.
I’ve been using this product for 3 weeks now and I highly enjoy it! It’s so finely milled that it actually feels therapeutic, as opposed to harsh, when I’m rubbing it on my skin. My skin literally feels baby soft after I use it. I also find that is helps decrease the size of any blemishes on my face. As far as scent goes, it smells like your average skincare product. Overall, this is a HIT and it’s become a staple in my skincare routine. It makes my skin feel so much better! I’d recommend this to anyone no matter your skin type.
You can get it at Sephora or Ulta for $30. I got mine off Amazon for $23.

Tory Burch Leopard Print iPhone 4 Case, $15
So because of all the crazy & wild fun I had this Sunday, my iPhone case broke! I hate having a naked iPhone. It makes me feel like it’s going to break any second and I can’t afford to break the screen again so I went on a hunt for cute iPhone cases and voila! I found this one on Amazon. I was specifically looking for an animal print one because all the other ones I’ve had are solid colors and boring so I wanted something different. I saw this on the Nordstrom website originally but it wasn’t available anymore so thank God I found it on the Amazon website. I’m sure if I would’ve bought it from Nordstrom it would’ve been more expensive.
ASOS Wayfarer with Leopard Print, $19.50
Sunglasses are ESSENTIAL for warm weather. I used to swear by aviators & I kind of still do but I want to go with the wayfarer movement this year. I was going to buy Rayban’s but I already plan on buying Rayban eyeglasses so I don’t find anything wrong with economizing! They look fabulous on my & they fit the shape of my face perfectly. So if you want some wayfarers but don’t want to pay $150+ for them. Check out ASOS & get that college student discount, if you’re a college student of course! haha
