Sally’s Beauty Haul: Curly Hair Edition

DSCI0090

Hey, babes! As you know, I’ve been super dedicated to achieving healthy natural hair. So I obviously have to get the proper tools that are gonna help these curls flourish. Some people say don’t overspend and become a product junkie when you’re starting to transition. However, I picked up the basic things that I know I will need on a weekly, if not daily, basis.

Here’s what I got:

Diffuser – This is gonna help with drying and pumping up the volume.

Cantu’s Deep Treatment Masque – This is essential since I deep condition once every week.

Aphogee Protein Treatment – I heard this works wonders with people who have some serious hair damage. A lot of people in the natural hair community have been using it to bring back definition to their curls.

As I Am Coconut Cowash – I co-wash as often as I feel necessary, which is probably 1-2x a week.

Hair Pik – This is obviously a MAJOR KEY for obvious reasons.

Shea Moisture’s Jamaican Black Castor Oil Shampoo – I personally need a shampoo in my regime. Some people rather do an ACV rinse, but I need shampoo (sulfate free of course). I only shampoo every 7-10 days.

Sunny Isle Jamaican Black Castor Oil – I forgot to include it in the photo. Oops! However, this oil supposed to be incredible for hair growth and strengthening.

Flexi Rods – Since I’m transitioning as opposed to doing the big chop, I need to blend my new growth with my ugly ends. The best way to do that is by using flexi rods or perm rods. You can also do a twist out or braid out.

If you guys have any questions or suggestions on other products that I may find useful, let me know. These aren’t the only products I’ve been using on my hair. I have more products but I didn’t get them in this haul so I left them out.
