Need a Mentor? Read “Leave Your Mark” by Aliza Licht

Hey people! I’m gonna get straight to the point today.

With the job market not being optimal and such, a friend of mine recommended this book to me. Once I realized Aliza Licht, the SVP of Global Communications at DKNY, wrote it I was sold. If you’re fond of the fashion or PR industry, you may know Aliza as the ‘DKNY PR Girl’. I immediately took out my Nook, purchased the book, and got to reading.

If you are a recent college student, recent college graduate, or even someone who is just trying to break into their industry this book will be your life saver. Aliza is full of amazing, useful information. She gets right to the point and she means business. Unlike “#Girlboss”, which was more of an inspirational book, this book is basically having Aliza mentor you. You will literally feel like you’ve had coffee with her. She’s so funny and relatable. She talks about her experiences, insider secrets, and how to get where you want to be. Her advice is just impeccable. As someone who has been trying to break into PR, this book was a God send. Aliza is a God send for wanting to share her knowledge with the world and be a personal mentor for anyone who reads it. This was literally exactly what I needed to read!

I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to get it together career wise. This work will motivate the crap out of you and since Aliza is so active on Twitter, you can always tweet her a question or two at @AlizaLicht. I tweeted her a thank you for writing this book and she responded within minutes! So what are you waiting for? Get to reading and LEAVE YOUR MARK 🙂
