Kelly Osbourne Causes Outrage in the Latin Community

(via mediaite.com)

What’s up people? It came to my attention last night that Kelly Osbourne had an unfortunate moment on The View yesterday when she decided to criticize Donald Trump WHILE ALSO demeaning Latinos…unintentionally I suppose.

We all know Donald Trump is against minorities, specifically immigrant Latinos. Let’s not beat around the bush, he demeans the Latin community incessantly. Now, Osbourne made it clear that she’s not for Trump AT ALL but with a remark like, “If you kick every Latino out of this country, then who is going to be cleaning your toilet, Donald Trump? You know what I mean?”, it’s hard to believe that she isn’t against us Latin people as well.  Co-host, Rosie Perez, interrupted Osboure after her statement saying, “There’s more jobs than that in the country for Latinos, and Latinos are not the only people who clean toilets.” Which is absolutely correct, but I’m sure everyone knew that. Nevertheless, Osbourne received MAJOR backlash and rightfully so.

The hashtag #QueridaKellyOsbourne (#DearKellyOsbourne) swarmed Twitter and Latinos(as) everywhere were standing up for themselves. Now as a fellow Latina who has never scrubbed a toilet and has a Bachelor’s degree under my belt, I am offended but I won’t call her a racist because I don’t genuinely believe that she is. Just months ago, she was the one to make a public issue about what Guiliana Rancic about Zendaya’s dreads and associating them with pachouli oil (weed). What I do believe is she had a bad moment where she tried to prove a point but in a horrible way. I also think she needs to deliver a sincere apology & not the passive aggressive one she delivered below…
