Hit or Miss: Kat Von D Lock-It Tattoo Foundation

(via Sephora.com)

Hey beauties! It’s time for another review on Hit or Miss Mondays! Lately, I’ve been looking for a matte foundation to match my matte primer. I’ve tried out a few but I definitely wanted to get the word about this one first!

First off, let’s talk the basics. This foundation is full coverage with a matte finish. My shade is Medium 62 (medium/golden skin with yellow undertone). According to Sephora.com, this foundation provides exceptional coverage, is transfer resistant, and absorbs oil for a matte, smooth finish. What do I think of it? It’s pretty good.

When I first tried this on, I was STUNNED. When they say full coverage, they mean FULL FREAKING COVERAGE. This foundation made me look flawless to the point where I didn’t even know if I should even put concealer on. It hid virtually EVERY BLEMISH on my face. I felt airbrushed! A LITTLE GOES A LONG WAY GIRL! It also does have a matte, velvety finish. My only real issue with the product is that it’s a tad heavy, you feel like you’re wearing makeup. Also, it’s NOT transfer resistant. It has tranferred on my pillow – bummer LOL. So do I like it? Yes, but I wouldn’t wear it everyday. I would wear it for big events or special occasions. I fell like I would almost look TOO FLAWLESS if I wore it everyday. Is that even possible? LOL! I definitely would say this product is in the middle. I definitely wouldn’t suggest it for everyone but I did really enjoy it for my birthday weekend in Miami. It lasted all night and I was FLAWLESS!¬† If you’re interested, you can pick it up at Sephora for $34.
