Hit or Miss: Maybelline’s Define-a-Brow Pencil

It’s Hit or Miss Monday! Last week, I wasn’t able to put up a review because I was a tad occupied but I’m back! Let’s get to the good stuff.

I bought this eyebrow pencil at CVS for about $6. I usually do my eyebrows with my Brow Bar To Go and the Almay eyebrow pencil. However, the CVS on my school campus failed to have the Almay eyebrow pencils. I was super disappointed but nonetheless, I HAD TO BUY AN EYEBROW PENCIL. So, I went with Maybelline. I’ve tried Maybellne’s Eye Studio Master Shape Brow Pencil and I was a fan but I prefer Almay’s. Since I’ve already tried that eyebrow pencil and also mentioned in a past post, I decided to buy Maybelline’s Define-a-Brow instead.

Here’s what I think about this product … It’s NOT my favorite. Why? The comb is pointless for my brows. A spooly brush would work much better. The color was perfect BUT the pencil isn’t SOFT. So basically it’s hard to apply because it doesn’t easily draw on. It’s a pain to deal with that. The only good thing is that it lasts for a long time but what’s the point if it’s annoying to outline your brows with it in the first place. Unfortunately, I’d say it’s a MISS. The cons outweigh the pros.
