Hit or Miss: L’Oreal Voluminous Butterfly Mascara

It’s Monday! So it’s time for another post in the Hit or Miss series. The votes are in and you guys wanted a review on a makeup product so here we go ….

L’Oreal’s Voluminous Butterfly Mascara caught my eye mainly because of the commercial. When I saw the packaging in CVS, I knew I had to have it. I bought it for about $9. I’m all about mascara because I’m all about those BIG LASHES. Lashes are what make a woman look feminine in my opinion. I’m always a fan of L’Oreal’s mascaras so I had high hopes for this mascara.

This mascara comes in 3 shades and I bought it in Blackest Black.  On the L’Oreal website it says, “Its revolutionary Butterfly Brush with asymmetrical lash line shape extends and lifts outer corner lashes to give you a winged-out effect, instantly volumizing lashes at the roots and stretching lashes outward. The unique Cocoon Fibers instantly wrap lashes in a soft, delicate veil to create silky, spectacular lashes that flutter.” Now here is what I think …. this mascara is a HIT! Why? Let me tell you.

This mascara holds true to what it says. It does give you a winged-out effect and it definitely does voluminize your lashes. I didn’t pay much attention to the texture when I first bought the product but when I touched my lashes they weren’t rough AT ALL. Also, you will feel like your lashes are “fluttering”, especially if you curl your lashes. I always curl my lashes sooo I absolutely love the outcome of this mascara. I would most definitely say it’s my new favorite mascara.

Here’s a before & after 2 coats …
